    Nice article. I know this is just about your experience but i would like to have also seen a little more such as stride length and paw landing. For instance, my understanding had been that a feline’s rear paws will fall directly in her front paw track (only non feline that does this is a fox).Also, to what extent ongoing track is staggered. Do they trot the same? Etc.

    I have recently seen some mountain lion tracks while out ice fishing in western massachusetts. I took a picture with my husbands hand next to it to show the scale of it.
    I am convinced that it is a moutain lion track after researching it online.
    so i forwarded it over to Mass Wildlife and they deny that Mountain lion exsist in MA and that it was just a canine track.
    Thank you for this article it has further convinced me that we do indeed have mountain lions in MA.

    My dogs have been actin oddly n now we have found large animal prints in our back yard – which is fully enclosed with block walls. I do have photos of the prints in the sand. I am obviously worried in fear of my small dogs n there behavior lately. Can I forward the pics to you to see what you may think what it is gettin in our yard. Thank you Valorie
