Hey Paul, Glad to see you are keeping up on your primitive skills. I think I attended some classes with you

I have been making Hickory and White Birch bows and arrows for a few years now. They are getting better the more I make. It is a learning experience and very enjoyable. I also made a few Hickory Atalatls and their arrow shafts with different type of points. Metal, horn, bone, wood, etc… It was the weapon used way before the development of the bow and arrow. Found in ancient caves way before bows were made. The arrows or shafts are really long, 6 ft. or so. The movie “Quest for Fire” shows the use of the “Atalatl” in one scene. Very cool! Thanks for your teaching and wisdom!
